🐯What is Yokai Rumble?

Yokai Rumble is an PVP Browser-based Card Game that pits players against one another in fast-paced 1-vs-1 card battles lasting around 7-8 minutes each. In order to join a game, players must submit tokens to the game by staking it in our smart contract vault. The result of the game then determines to which player’s account these tokens go to.

Our gameplay loop is simple and fast, yet allows for a lot of strategic depth. Players enter each match with a deck of 12 cards and on each turn place them into 1 of 3 biomes. Each card contributes to points within their respective biome and the the player with the most points at the end of the match wins.

Each card has its own ability which can influence the outcome of each turn. On top of that, each biome too has its own ability which will affect the optimal placement of cards. The player's goal is play their cards according to these parameters whilst also anticipating their opponent's potential moves.

If the player feels confident, they should hit the Degen button and double the stakes of the match. If not, they should instead press the Retreat button and cut their losses.

Over time, players will unlock new cards which they can then use to tweak their decks to suit their play-style as well as the current meta-game.
